‘A Man Called Otto’: Tom Hanks’ New Movie Premiere is Delayed to 2023
Tom Hanks’ next movie ‘A Man Called Otto’ had its release date pushed from December to January 13, 2023.
Tom had two movies in 2022, the recently released ‘Pinocchio’ on Disney+ streaming and Baz Luhrmann’s movie ‘Elvis.’
But his third film in 2022 is being pushed back to early 2023. The movie is an adaptation of the New York Times best-selling novel, ‘A Man Called Ove’ by Fredrik Backman.
Tom plays a man called Otto, a grumpy old man who finds pleasure in judging and being mean to his neighbors. However, Otto’s tough exterior begins to break away. The motive is an unlikely friendship is stricken up with the pregnant Marisol. She is his new neighbor who moves next door with her young family.

Besides Hanks, the cast includes Mariana Treviño (Narcos: México), Rachel Keller (Fargo), Cameron Britton (Mindhunter), and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer).
Marc Forster directs the adaptation by David Magee (Finding Neverland) of Backman’s novel for the screen.
Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson produce beside Gary Goetzman and Fredrik Wikström Nicastro. Forster, Renée Wolfe, and David Magee serve as executive producers.
Hanks is one of America’s favorite actors, who will happily wait a few extra weeks to see him on the big screen again.
Tom Hanks’ ‘A Man Called Otto’ sets in theaters on January 13, 2023. But before, the film will have a limited release in New York and Los Angeles on December 25.
