Aldis Hodge Casts To Lead ‘Alex Cross’ Series at Prime Video

Prime Video series, based on the acclaimed character from James Petterson’s novels will be starred by Aldis Hodge. Hodge, who just co-starred in Black Adam with Dwayne Johnson, will play Alex Cross.

The series has received the green light from Amazon Studios after two years in development and the official title “Cross.”
Cross is a detective and forensic psychologist. He possesses the unique ability to decipher the psyche of murderers and their victims to finally bring them to justice.

The series promises to deliver a “complex, twisted, and pulse-pounding thriller” following the killer-hunting adventures of its titular lead.

This will be the fourth time the popular novel character is getting an on-screen treatment but the first time as a series. Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry brought the fictional character to life. Morgan in the first two films of the, and Perry in the last film released in 2012.

Hodge is a producer in addition to starring in the lead role. Ben Watkins is writing, and executive producing, and will also serve as showrunner.
Paramount Television Studios and Skydance are producing. Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, and Craig Siebels also executive produce.
Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa executive producing for James Patterson Entertainment. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost executive produce for Skydance Television.
