‘Avatar’ Re-Release Becomes to American Theaters this Friday Preparing the Way to Avatar 2
“Avatar: The Way of Water” is set to splash into theaters on December 16.
Amidst the anticipation for its long-awaited sequel, Avatar’s theatrical re-release comes today, Friday (September 23).
Updated in stunning 4K high dynamic range, Avatar’s return to theaters could bolster anticipation for its sequel.
Certainly, be could remind audiences why they fell in love with the film.
So far, the film has been released early in five international markets: France, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, and the Philippines.
The re-release has already collected $877K at the international box office.
The film debuted at the top of the box office in Belgium, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia.
Rose to the top as opened number one at the box office in France, earning $513K. ‘Avatar’ debuted in Korea in third place behind two local films, with an additional $277K at the box office. Below is the official trailer for the film’s theatrical re-release:

The film officially opens today in Mexico, Brazil, Italy, and Germany.
And will expand to more theaters when it officially opens in the United States and other international markets this Friday.
As it was re-released there last year in China’s theaters, when it earned another $58M, will not be returning ahead of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water.’
