‘Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas’: NBC Sets Premiere Date to Christmas Special
This year, country music legend Dolly Parton will kick off the holidays in style with ‘Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas.’
With many special guests, The country music superstar will be spreading some holiday cheer. It’s time to start gearing up for the holiday season.
Opening up the Christmas season, Dolly Parton’s two-hour film special is set to premiere on NBC on Thursday, December 1.
Parton will star as herself in an ode to the classic movie musical.
And the list of musical guests is extensive: Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, and Zach Williams as well as Jimmy Fallon and Miley Cyrus.
The cast is rounding out with Tom Everett Scott, Angel Parker, and Ana Gasteyer, Mary Lane Haskell, Bryan Batt, Brendan Bradley; John Newberg, Rachel Parton George, Cassie Parton Griffith, Rhoda Griffis, Liam Rauhoff, and Steve Summers.

Hudson Hickman is the executive producer and Billy Levin and Steve Summers are the producers.
Kathryn Burns will choreograph all musical numbers with David Hull on board as an assistant choreographer.
David Rambo writes the special and serves as the executive producer.
However, in addition to starring, Parton also serves as a co-writer alongside Sam Haskell.
The especial also reunites the country music icon with director Joe Lazarov. He previously helmed an episode of Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings for Netflix.
Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas will air on NBC on December 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
