‘Downton Abbey: New Era’: Official Title And Release Date Of Movie Sequel
The title ‘Downton Abbey: New Era’, was announced as a short teaser from the film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
The release date, originally slated for a holiday/Dec. 22, have a new date.
The Carnival Films announced a new in-theaters-only release date, March 18, 2022.

The beloved Crawley family and the staff of Downton are back. Including the original principal cast members, and Julian Fellowes also returned to pen the screenplay.
Downton Abbey: New Era – The teaser footage
The teaser reunites us with the Crawley family and the Downton staff as preparations for an overseas journey are underway.
Intones Jim Carter’s Mr. Carson in one of the few lines of dialogue in the footage, “The British are coming.”
There’s lots of glitz and glamour and jazz, as well as, evidently, a wedding. No word so far on when the teaser will drop for the public.

The production previously reported that new members were added to the cast.
Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, and Dominic West are part of the cast in undisclosed roles.
