Marvel Studios’ Disney+ Series Ironheart Adds Rashida ‘Sheedz’ Olayiwola To Cast

The writer and actress Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola added to Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series ‘Ironheart’ cast. The news was sent exclusively by Deadline.

Comedian, Rashida has previously opened for the likes of Arsenio Hall, Hannibal Burress, and Michael Che, among others.
Rashida’s television credits include HBO’s Insecure, BET Awards 2022, A Black Lady Sketch Show, and The Late Show.
She’s acting as a staff writer for the HBO Max series ‘South Side,’ currently.

Rashida’s role is currently undisclosed because Marvel declined to comment.
She will be joining Dominique Thorne, who stars in the series as Riri Williams.
The cast members include Anthony Ramos, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Lyric Ross, Harper Anthony, Alden Ehrenreich, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah, and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Shea Coulée.

Ironheart will be a part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Chinaka Hodge acts as co-writer alongside Eve Ewing, and Hodge will be the series showrunner.
Among others, Kevin Feige, Ryan and Zinzi Coogler, Hodge, and Sev Ohanian will serve as executive producers.
Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes direct the six-episode series.

Ironheart tells the story of the 15-year-old genius Riri Williams, who can build her own Iron Man suit and sees her becoming the titular hero.

Thorne will make her official debut as Riri Williams in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ in theaters on November 11.
The Marvel Studios ‘Ironheart series premieres in late 2023 on Disney+.
