Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey: ‘The Last of Us’ First Official Trailer Is Unveiled By HBO Max
Starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, HBO released “The Last of Us” new trailer. HBO revealed the new trailer at the event “Outbreak Day.”
Know also by “The Last of Us Day,” the event is a yearly celebration of the franchise held by developer Naughty Dog.
The new trailer introduces Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey).
Joel is a middle-aged man who becomes a delivery specialist once a deadly virus almost wipes out humanity.
Apparently immune to the virus, Ellie’s body might be the key to finding a cure and taking back society.
The series will follow the plot of the original game: they navigate the ruins of the United States, evading the highly-aggressive Infected while Joel escorts Ellie to a lab where scientists can study her blood.
The trailer shows some game locations perfectly reproduced for TV, showing how the series adaptation will stick close to the game. Watch below:

In addition to Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, “The Last of US” stars Storm Reid as Riley Abel.
That means the show will be expanding on the universe created by Naughty Dog, going beyond the original game story.
Riley Abel is another survivor who was the focus of the first game’s DLC, The Last of Us: Left Behind.

The cast includes Lamar Johnson, Keivonn Woodard, Nick Offerman, Anna Torv, Merle Dandrige, Nico Parker, Gabriel Luna, Jeffrey Pierce, and Murray Bartlett.
Voices of Ellie and Joel in the games, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker have also joined the series. The roles are undisclosed at the moment.
Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, original game creators, serve as executive producers.
Kantemir Balagov (Dylda) directs the first episode of ‘The Last of Us,’ which is scheduled to broadcast on HBO in 2023.
