Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey: ‘The Last of Us’ First Official Trailer Is Unveiled By HBO Max

Starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, HBO released “The Last of Us” new trailer. HBO revealed the new trailer at the event “Outbreak Day.”
Know also by “The Last of Us Day,” the event is a yearly celebration of the franchise held by developer Naughty Dog.

The new trailer introduces Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey).
Joel is a middle-aged man who becomes a delivery specialist once a deadly virus almost wipes out humanity.
Apparently immune to the virus, Ellie’s body might be the key to finding a cure and taking back society.
The series will follow the plot of the original game: they navigate the ruins of the United States, evading the highly-aggressive Infected while Joel escorts Ellie to a lab where scientists can study her blood.

The trailer shows some game locations perfectly reproduced for TV, showing how the series adaptation will stick close to the game. Watch below:

Voices of Ellie and Joel in the games, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker have also joined the series. The roles are undisclosed at the moment.
Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, original game creators, serve as executive producers.

Kantemir Balagov (Dylda) directs the first episode of ‘The Last of Us,’ which is scheduled to broadcast on HBO in 2023.
