‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’: Disney+ series Adds Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, and Jessica Parker Kennedy

Disney+’s hotly anticipated adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians adds three names in guest star roles.
Adam Copeland will play The God of War, Suzanne Cryer will play Echidna, the Mother of Monsters, and Jessica Parker Kennedy as the infamous Medusa.

Echidna, the Mother of Monsters is “dangerous, intimidating, and strangely maternal.” Medusa, a gorgon who was “wronged by the gods and bitter.” Ares, the God of War. He is a wickedly handsome and arrogant character who thrives on conflict. He’s “an agent of chaos wherever he goes,” and is also not the smartest of the bunch.

They join series regulars Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood).
Additional cast includes Megan Mullally, Jason Mantzoukas, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Tim Sharp, Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, and Charlie Bushnell.

The series is based on the bestselling series by Rick Riordan.
Riordan and Jon Steinberg co-write the pilot directed by James Bobin.
Executive producers are Steinberg, Bobin, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Dan Shotz, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen; so as to Jim Rowe, Anders Engström, Jet Wilkinson, Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J. Goldberg.
