Tyler Gillett, co-director of the beloved horror franchise, stated on Instagram Monday night that the sequel ‘Scream 5’ is “picture locked,”.
This meaning that the film’s edit is now set as it goes into subsequent stages of post-production.
The final cut has been completed and is set to premiere on January 14, 2022.

In a similar post, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, the film’s other director, post that the score is also finished. He showed a closeup of some sheet music.
