Now, we have news about the project. Apple TV+ announced Lisa Kudrow (Friends) to lead the cast.
Lisa will play a character named Penelope. Not much is known about the role, not even the plot.
Waititi acts as co-writer, director, and executive producer of the series.
Extended out to be a ten-episode comedy series, it is said it the series will follow a similar plot to the movie.

Other names joined in the series: Kal-El Tuck, Charlyne Yi, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Kiera Thompson, and Rachel House.
It’s expected that Tuck to be playing the young boy at the center of the series’ story.

Iain Morris, Garrett Basch, and Waititi’s creative partner, Jemaine Clement, act as executive producers besides Waititi.
