Tom Hanks New Movie: ‘A Man Called Otto’ Official Trailer Shows a Grumpy Neighbor

This week Columbia Pictures moved ‘A Man Called Otto’ release date, the new Tom Hanks movie, to 2023. Now, has released the first official trailer showing “a man who seems to hate people.”

Tom Hanks is the titular Otto in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel by Swedish author Fredrik Backman.
He’s a grumpy widower who takes pleasure in tormenting his neighbors.
The trailer introduces Otto and Marisol (Mariana Treviño). Marisol is so pregnant she seems ready to burst. But she is determined to become friends with Otto and turn him into a sensible human.

Besides Hanks, the cast includes Mariana Treviño (Narcos: México), Rachel Keller (Fargo), Cameron Britton (Mindhunter), and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (The Lincoln Lawyer).
Marc Forster directs the adaptation by David Magee (Finding Neverland) of Backman’s novel for the screen.

Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson produce beside Gary Goetzman and Fredrik Wikström Nicastro. Forster, Renée Wolfe, and David Magee serve as executive producers.
